When you call my office for a free no-obligation consultation, you will be visiting with an attorney, not a paralegal. I have filed thousands of bankruptcy cases for people and small businesses under Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the bankruptcy law. My goal is to keep my fees low and provide my clients with excellent legal services.


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY

In addition to my bankruptcy work, I have provided legal services for IRS offer and compromise, debt settlement, workers' compensation, family law, Social Security disability, and personal injury cases. I earned a Bachelor in Business Administration degree from Lincoln University, Jefferson City MO, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

I'm proud to be associated with the Courtney Law Firm, PC, Springfield MO, doing business in Southwest Missouri for over 30 years.

My community involvement includes participation with Habitat For Humanity, leadership in my church, membership in the Business Power Network chapter of BNI, and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association.

My wife and I have two children and we are active in school and church.

People often ask me whether I like the practice of bankruptcy law. I say certainly, because I believe it is based on the Old Testament law of Jubilee, regarding debt forgiveness and economic justice found, in Leviticus, Chapter 25.
